The New Liturgist on Work

Oh this is terrible news I’m forced to deliver to you on a Monday no less. It’s been brought to my attention that most of us have an absolute inability to execute our crafts according to our very good taste. And for this reason, incompetency, we must continue to produce a remarkable volume of work. Writers must lug our panting stories across the finish line again and again; newly vegans must continue to throw our dinner parties though the tofu tacos have never performed; single fathers must persist in the awkward art of discussing popular cultural references with our teenage daughters, a way to say “This is me trying.” Pinteresters must pin, runners must run, mystics must keep after mystification though more often than not we are falling asleep in our prayerful states.
